About R E D

R E D was established in 2003 by R. Edgar a civil and structural engineer with over 16 years construction industry design and project management experience gained on wide ranging large and small scale projects including some of Glasgow’s prominent prestigious city centre developments.

R E D has extensive project experience in the domestic sector including new build housing, extension and alteration to existing properties,conversion and renovation of both old and new buildings. This is complimented by experience on large scale commercial projects in a wide variety of sectors including health care, hotel and leisure, industrial manufacture , warehouse distribution and retail .

We assist clients to realise their objectives for small to medium scale domestic and commercial projects. The practice aims to provide a professional fully integrated 'one stop shop' indemnified design services combining architectural design with efficient and economical structural engineering for the domestic market .

We provide practical economical structural engineering design integrated with the architectural building fabric through coordinated development of design information from project inception to deliver clear ,effective, aesthetically pleasing building solutions .
